Join me on my journey to make ‘mom brain’ sound less like an excuse and more like a superpower. Sure, I can’t find the TV remote, or I’m not sure if I fed the dog breakfast this morning, or my house is not perfectly tidy, or I left my coffee in the microwave, or I sent that email to my coworkers with a typo. BUT isn’t all of this just, like, a normal people thing? All of these things, they have to happen to everyone don’t they? Even dads. And grandmas. And uncles. And just regular humans. My brain isn’t fuzzy or somehow working less effectively, just because I’m a mom.
My mom brain never, ever stops. My mom brain is powerful, it’s prepared (granted it may be over prepared at times, but you just never know), it’s busy, it weathers high stress and anxiety, and strong emotions. My mom brain is capable, and not to mention it’s developing and transforming a whole separate brain, a tiny brain. Our mom brains are something to be proud of.
